POWDERCOATING
We specialise in powder coating services. Our approach applies a powder coat to hardware using a free flowing powder and is effective on metal surfaces. Simpler than ordinary paints, powder coating doesn’t require solvent and filler parts, using an electrostatic process to disperse the powder through spray guns. With the application of heat, this thermoplastic powder forms a fine skin upon the applied surface.
Powder coating is popular on a wide variety of metal items motorbikes, gates, displays and sheet metal products due to its uniform finishes and durable results. Compared to liquid paint, a powder coat is more resistant to moisture, impact, chemicals and ultraviolet rays. Furthermore, scratches, chips and corrosion are mitigated owing to its strength. The finish is more aesthetic than liquid paint too, giving a fine and uniform skin to metal surfaces, equal from all angles. PLASMA CUTTING
Acoms offer a comprehensive flame cutting and steel profiling service, with an in-house capacity to cut profiles between 1mm to 25mm thick, all of our machines are run on modern CAD systems.
We also offer a complete metal fabrication service from start to finish including sourcing materials, shot blasting, drilling and fabrication.
Our plasma cutting machines are CNC controlled which gives greater accuracy and quality profiled blanks. We serve customers locally and nationally and across a wide range of industries including Lifts, Construction, Structural, Agricultural, MOD, earth moving equipment, Automotive and Mining to name just a few.
STEEL WORK
Whether it is a single beam or an entire fabricated construction, we can supply all of your structural steel. We stock and supply all steel cut to size. Additionally, we offer a full steel fabrication service to accommodate hole drilling, base plates, mitring and welding. We have a large range of modern fabrication equipment and our team are highly skilled in metal fabrication techniques and practices.
